Rishabh Today we are going to do the review of HP Victus Ryzen 5 5600H + RX 5500m Laptop.
Unboxing
In the box we just get a Laptop, a Charging Cable and an adapter.
Physical Overview
Build
The overall build of this Laptop is plastic. On the lid we have Victus branding which gives the laptop a gaming look. It has a magnetic lid which is great because we don’t find this on budget gaming Laptops.
Air Vents
The air vents are located on the back and side of the laptop.
One Hand Open
We have tried to open it with one hand and guess what? It is possible to open the laptop with one hand. This means the weight distribution on the laptop is done quiet well.
Wobble
Now this is very controversial topic “Wobble Test on HP Victus”. Many people are worried about it. From the wobble tests we came to a conclusion that yes there is a little wobble present in the Laptop but it is not that much like your lid will fall off back and forth with just little fan air. So yeah don’t worry about it it’s normal.
Hinge
As we can open Laptop with one hand so hinge is quite stable. Will work perfectly fine over the years.
Keyboard, Backlit and Flex
The keyboard present in the laptop is a full size keyboard with numeric keys. It is a white backlit keyboard and there are no brightness levels for backlit keys and no auto closure of backlit keys which is in my view not good as compared to HP Pavillion Gaming Laptops which has all of them present.There is no flex present in Keyboard and the typing experience of the laptop is average just like what you would expect from a Gaming Laptop.
Trackpad
Yes finally the trackpad, I swear it is one of the best trackpad I had ever seen on a Gaming Laptop.The Size of trackpad is very large which is great and works with windows precision drivers.
Display
The Laptop has 16.1 inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS-Level Display which has the brightness of 250 nits. It has 84% screen to body ratio. 41% open ratio from below. The screen is 45% NTSC.The only downside of this gaming laptop is its 60hz Panel. Seriously HP 60hz panel on a gaming laptop.

The Laptop is on the heavy side. It weighs around 2.48 KG. It is heavy but it has reasons for it which we are going to discuss further.

Webcam
It has a 720p webcam with Dual Array Digital Microphone. The quality of camera is not that good. If you are going to use it for streaming then I would recommend buy and external camera. The webcam is not meant for streaming only meant for video conferencing.
Battery
It comes with 70Whr Li-ion Battery and to charge it we get 150W Adapter.You can expect around 2 hours of movie playback on battery with Wi-Fi turned on and brightness set to 50%.Use charger while gaming for best gaming performance.
Audio
We get Audio by B&O. The sound quality is average not very good or bad. You will obviously be going to use headphone or headset for gaming so don’t worry.

It has 2 RAM Slots and RAM can be upgraded up to 32 GB. It comes with 512 GB SSD and there are 2 Slots available. But there is no HDD Slot available.
